Emilio has an extensive international background - having lived and worked in a number of countries throughout Europe and North America before settling in Vancouver. While his experience abroad has created a foundation for the studio's innovative design approach, it is his commitment and stewardship to the Pacific Northwest that inform and inspire the language and details of each project. Through the careful exploration of a site's historical, ecological, and cultural characteristics, every project is tailored to create a site-specific design that is functional, memorable, and resilient.

Emilio has worked at a number of leading landscape architecture studios in Canada and has gathered extensive knowledge in residential, commercial, public, and civic projects.
